Most people start a blog because they intend write regular posts and keep their friends up to date with their happenings. Some people are very faithful at that. Other people are more sparatic. You can catagorize me as you see fit.
It is finished. I completed and passed my Sr. recital requirements. I sang for an entire hour, just me. I loved it. It was so much fun. People clapped even when I messed up or forgot a line. And they clapped when I sang the best high D that reverbed through the amazing accoustical hall. I know I will never get the opportunity to sing like that again. Which makes me really sad, but I'm so happy and grateful for the chance to do it.
My program consisted of:
Vaghissima sembianza
Dormendo stai
No, non mi guardate
Luoghi sereni e cari
Freschi luoghi, prati aulenti
(Stephano Donaudy)
Deh vieni, non tardar
(Mozart)
My New Friends
My House
So Pretty
World Without End
In Our Time
(Leonard Bernstien)
Les filles de cadix
Jours passés
(Léo Delibes)
Ich wandelte unter den Bäumen
Das Veilchen
Sehnsucht
Von dir, mein Lieb, ich scheiden muß
(Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel)
Willow Song
(Douglas Moore)
My recital was March 30 in St. John's Episcopal Church. Then after a bunch of finals and paper, I graduated on May 5, 2012 (our 3rd anniversary). I really did it.
